Acorn Ceramics is the art of Alexandra Coroneo, an architect and ceramic artist working on Birrabirragal country. Her architectural background influences her work as much as the organic forms of Australian geology and flora. The rub between architectural minimalism and biomorphic forms lends itself to a combination of wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques. Her works are functional in nature, which is driven by a desire to insert design, joy and beauty into the everyday ceremony of meals, be they shared or otherwise.
