Bain is a retired rheumatologist living and working in Sydney. He has spent most of his professional life looking at the human musculoskeletal system and has developed an interest in how the body communicates with the world.  Having a lifelong passion for sculpture Bain enjoys exploring the depiction of the human body in figurative works. He is also interested in the depiction of light and reflection in non-figurative contemporary works.

The human body is an amazing construct which allows an individual to interact with their environment and others communicating by movement and posture. I enjoy exploring postures and gestures as a means of expressing differing messages and emotions.

Bain’s sculptures are created in both bronze and more affordable polyurethane resin on wooden bases.
