From her studio in Castle Hill, Laura creates enamelled jewellery, bowls and miniature wall works inspired by nature and her travels. With over 20 years of experience, her practice centres on the luminous qualities of transparent enamels fused onto precious metals. Working primarily in cloisonné, Laura uses fine silver wire to form delicate cells that hold layers of kiln-fired vitreous enamel, building depth and richness of colour through repeated firings at around 800°C. Alongside this, she has expanded her practice to include copper, exploring techniques such as liquid enamels, painting, graffito, decals, and screen printing. Each piece created is a unique design, reflecting her love of the colour, form, and intricate beauty of the natural world.
